"Rock the Vote"

Alright... I haven't mentioned MercyMe in like 5 posts, so... : )

In their latest post:
http://mercyme.org/blog/2008/09/19/choose-our-next-single/
the guys are looking for feedback on which song to make their next single. And if you're like me, you're ready for an opportunity to vote where there's actually something exciting to vote for (!) so, here's your big chance to get in on the excitement!

The choices are:

~ Goodbye Ordinary
~ Alright
~ My Heart will Fly
~ Finally Home

I think they're all Alright, so it's hard to say... (although you may have already picked up on my personal favorite of the selections given). : )
But, honestly, the more I listened to my cd today and really thought about what I could hear being played on the radio... I would love to hear "Time Has Come"! - It's not one of the choices given, but it's upbeat. It's catchy. And also a great motivational anthem of sorts and a great reminder!

Oh, well. I would love to hear any of them on the radio. So, they can't go wrong. : )

Check 'em out for yourself... http://www.mercyme.org/listen/playerwimpy.swf

And go ROCK THE VOTE ! ... Alright ?

: )

I gotta go with "Finally Home". I am not going to lie, I cried like a baby the first time I heard that song. I heard Bart and the guys on Sirrius Radio telling the story behind the song and it got me all misty eyed again. This song will be such a sweet reminder to so many people of what glory awaits us. To "wrap our arms around someone's neck and tell them that we've missed them".

Thanks for the heads up. I had not seen that. Us "S.L.O.B's" gotta stay together :) Have a great week.

Aaron~

I'm not saying by ANY means that I don't appreciate the song "Finally Home". It's an awesome song - they all are in their own right. But, I just don't hear it being played on the radio. I agree w/ the guy who said that it would be best as 'the gem that people got to hear who actually bought the whole album'.
I still think "Time Has Come" needs to hit the airwaves... but that's just me! :)

Has "God With Us" been released as a single? If not, maybe it's because they're waiting for Jeremy West or Kris Hodges to release their own singles... :-)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I've heard "God With Us" on the radio. But, you're right. Those two can definitely give ole Bart a run for his money. :) I LOVE that song! It does just make you want to cry out w/ all that is w/in you to glorify Him!
